Editing Process.

Editing Process:

For my response to the theme of 'Society' I decided to focus the majority of my editing process on my uses of lighting, colour and tones in order to alter the lighting and colour scales within my photographs so that specific areas of my photography stand out and become focal points for my target audience. Since I decided to use selective colouring and starkly contrasted monochromatic tones I feel like I was able to create intriguing focal points within my photographs to document the grit and grime of these city societal environments and how we as the human race can have both a negative and positive impact on our societies such as litter, graffiti, street art, construction and demolishment. By focusing my photographic series on the grit and grime of city life and human impact within a society I feel that I am able to create influential and impactful imagery that will hopefully inspire a change of people's minds and perspectives on the societies they live in and have grown up in.

A lot of my editing processes for this series of photographic responses will be mostly digital, focusing on the formal elements of lighting, colour, tones in order to alter and edit the colour scales of my photographs to emphasize the grit and grime of city life in specific societal environments in order to create photographic pieces that will emphasize the perspective and highlight the human impact on the societies that we live in and how we can have both negative and positive impacts on the society around us such as, graffiti, street art, litter and the demolishment and construction of buildings.
